“Second Chance is uniquely positioned to provide students with certified academic and vocational training which develops high level skills and knowledge.   All school districts have students who do not fit into the normal high school setting.  Rather than allow these students to become dropouts, fail or become a burden to society, innovative programs, like Second Chance, are needed to provide these young people with different environments, curriculum, instruction and real-world connections.  Second Chance has given our students another potential intervention to ensure that we live our vision of ‘pursuing excellence one student at a time’.”

It says a lot about a school district how it treats its students with the greatest needs. What would it be like if schools thought that every child was worth teaching, worth caring for… worth saving? Second Chance Partners for Education is that school program. It’s the program that says to students “despite your past failures and current attitudes, we will not give up on you!”

The very definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. That’s exactly how it has been in our traditional model schools for a good portion of our students. Second Chance Partners is the different model getting very different results. The program successfully changes the classroom, the teaching and ultimately changes the child. There can be no denying the fact there is a 90% graduation rate for students who enter the Second Chance program.

What would it look like if schools never quit on kid… maybe, just maybe, no kid would ever quit.
