The Second Chance Partners for Education model engages students in a different way than traditional high schools. With Second Chance Partners, your child learns traditional curriculum material such as math and science while applying it through daily activities in the workplace. This model of applied learning helps students relate the information they are learning to tasks they may perform in their future careers.
The teacher to student ratio at Second Chance Partners is one to fourteen (7 Jrs and 7 Srs). With smaller class sizes, each student is able to receive a more tailored education. The teacher and students develop a firm understanding of what is expected. Additionally, students are provided with a strong support system consisting of the Second Chance Partners administrative team, the school district, business professionals and mentors and postsecondary career centers.
At the end of the 21 consecutive months, your child will graduate with their diploma, an occupational proficiency certificate from the Department of Workforce Development, articulated credits in the Wisconsin Technical College System as well as invaluable work and life skills for the future. |
